Southern New Hampshire Sangha

Our group size varies from 3 - 10 members each week. We have members that have been meditating for years and others that are just starting.  The Sangha meets on Tuesday evenings from 7:00pm to approx 8:30pm. The agenda for the meeting is:

Part 1 (approx. 1/2 hour):

  • 25 Minute Silent Meditation
  • Walking Meditation (approx 5 minutes)

(Quick Break)

Part 2 (approx. 1 hour):

  • Dharma Talk (normally audio CD, occasionally video or a reading)
  • Tea Dharma Discussion

The Sangha starts promptly at 7:00pm. If you come late, that is fine, just enter through the side entrance* and join the silent meditation (please be quite as possible). The Dharma talks are about 45+/- minutes, people can leave during the quick break if they need to.

All new members will need to come early so that we can start at 7:00, please come around 6:45pm. I will go over what we will be doing and give you a few pointers. It would be very helpful if you could let me know that you will be coming for your first visit by contacting me at newmember@nhsangha.org. When we have a new guest,  I talk through what we will be doing and give directions during the Sangha meeting (there is no need to worry about what we will be doing).

There are a few extra cushions (zafus) and mats (zabutons) and one bench. I recommend bringing your own mat and cushion if you can.

I would suggest signing up for our email list so that you can be notified of schedule updates.

One last note, we have two dogs and two cats.  The dogs are friendly, but they do like to greet guests with friendly barking.

* Facing the garage doors, the side entrance is on the left. Use this entrance instead of the front door.  The door will be open.
